Why blog?

I’m a writer who is knee-deep in social media. In many ways, managing a blog is the most boring and predictable thing I can do. But I believe in blogs, and have made a life of it. I first started blogging on my MySpace in 2004. You can assume that the content was highly meta and volunteered deep sociological musings on the birth of social media, punctuated with reviews of I Love New York. Since then, I’ve proded every company I’ve worked for to begin blogging

Since those glory days, I’ve blogged for Butler University Admission, the Green River Preserve, The Indianapolis Museum of Art, Slingshot SEO, Plum District and written literally hundreds of pieces of content as a mommy blogger. (Yes, I was a fake 35 year-old woman for a year and a half) My content here will be a bit nebulous. But should braid together to create a nice portfolio and be entertaining to share. Not-to-mention, having a working website isn’t too shabby, eh?   Feel free to contact me about guest blogging, ghost writing or other exciting opportunities.
